Jay’s background in hospitality is what drives the operations at Modus Transportation. Originally from Santa Fe, New Mexico Jay earned his degree in Hotel/Restaurant and Tourism management from New Mexico State University. After graduating from NMSU, Jay built a career in the luxury resort industry where his focus was on the guest experience. The experiences and skills earned in resort industry has helped Jay understand what it takes to be successful in hospitality. It is these skills and experiences that are the foundation of Modus transportation. While transportation may seem like a much different sector than luxury resorts, it is not to Jay.
After living in Bend for 10 years, Jay very much enjoys the community and the Central Oregon lifestyle. When not working, Jay can be found snowboarding the slopes of Mt. Bachelor or taking laps on his mountain bike on any of the many amazing Central Oregon trails. Jay is also somewhat of a nerd, he will gladly chat all things Star Wars, the Marvel Universe, or the coveted Lord of The Rings trilogy. He enjoys reading books and is passionate about what he does at Modus Transportation. Running Modus Transportation operations is a big task, and Jay very much enjoys taking a break from his administration duties to drive clients to their destinations and engage in conversation.
