“Non-Emergency Medical Transportation” is a segment of the transportation industry that serves individuals with mobility challenges. NEMT is ADA accessible transportation generally to/from medical appointments and similar services. These clients are medically stable and do not require medical services during transportation. However NEMT clients may utilize a mobility device such as a wheelchairs, walkers, or crutches to move about. Some individuals just need a little extra help getting in and out of vehicles and into their appointments.
At Modus, our ADA accessible transportation is not just restricted to medical type appointments so we have dropped the “M” in “NEMT” and simply refer to our service as NET. Medical appointments are necessary but we want to take you where you want to go!
